Catalyst Campus is thrilled to announce Charlie McGillis and Dr. Joel Mozer have joined our Board of Directors.
Dr. Joel B. Mozer, a Senior Level Executive, was the United States Space Force Director of Science, Technology and Research, located at the Pentagon. He served as the central lead for all science and technology matters for approximately 11,000 space professionals worldwide and managed a global network of satellite command and control, communications, missile warning, and launch facilities. In that role, he developed long-term military requirements for the Space Force and interacted with other principals, operational commanders, combatant commands, acquisition, and international communities to address cross-organizational science and technical issues and solutions. Dr. Mozer represented U.S. Space Force science and technology on decisions, high-level planning, and policy, building coalitions and alliances throughout the U.S. government, industry, academia, the international community, and other scientific and technology organizations.
Charlie McGillis, is a seasoned senior executive with over 30 years of experience, known for her dynamic leadership and strategic vision and has spearheaded initiatives in space sustainability and STEM education for young women. As a board member of the Office of Space Commerce (NOAA), she provides invaluable guidance on the development of the Traffic Coordination System for Space (TraCSS) program, ensuring milestones are met and risks are mitigated. Currently serving as Vice President, Public Sector at The Provenance Chain™ Network, Charlie leads business development efforts to bring commercial trust through secure, verifiable credentials, advocating for data ownership rights and transparency in product information. At Elara Nova, Charlie collaborates with industry and government leaders to tackle complex space challenges, leveraging a vast network of expertise to drive innovation and progress.
