The Data Mine of the Rockies will be inviting their students to expo their projects during the Ecosystem Expo. University students from Colorado interested in the Data Mine have the opportunity for this upcoming spring semester to be added to teams working with students from 7 other universities to take on Data Science/AI/ML projects in space and defense as part of the second semester of the inaugural year of Data Mine of the Rockies.
The project statements are inspired by companies, government entities, and non-profits who also provide weekly mentoring for the student teams, and involve data analytics, AI/ML, and cyber-related topics. Expertise in data-science-related topics is valued, but not required. A desire to learn and work hard for about 10 hours per week is required.
If you are a student and are interested, you can apply here. In the application process you will be able to prioritize the projects available that align with your spring class schedule.
The respective sponsors and the project descriptions are:
L3Harris, Satellite Cyberattack Detection Using-Telemetry
Lockheed Space, AI GAN for Cyber Anomaly Detection
